Our mission is to serve as a bridge of friendship between the people of Indiana and Japan
The Japan-America Society of Indiana (JASI) is a not-for-profit cultural and educational organization whose mission is to serve as a bridge of friendship between the people of Indiana and Japan. The Society is supported by a diverse membership of individuals, families, businesses and academic institutions.
The Japan-America Society of Indiana provides the only statewide network of American and Japanese companies with over 1,500 individuals representing nearly 200 companies and organizations throughout the state. On an ongoing basis, JASI sponsors an array of programs dealing with current issues in the Japan-U.S. business, political, and economic relationship and organizes opportunities for networking and socializing. Corporate members receive invitations to conferences, training seminars, receptions, business programs, dignitary briefings, along with other services tailored to specific business needs. Consulting services are available through JASI's cadre of consultants on Japan.
JASI provides its individual members and communities in Indiana with authentic and unique experiences in the culture, traditions, lifestyles, language, music, art and contemporary society of Japan and the United States. Annually, the Japan-America Society reaches more than 10,000 individuals through it programs, outreach activities, and services. Members receive program announcements, discount rates, and Society services, including participation in the resume pool, interpreter & translating referrals, and language instruction referral services. Becoming an individual member of JASI provides you with an opportunity to introduce yourself to all facets of Japanese culture as well as building on past experiences and gaining access to available job and volunteer opportunities.
